December session, 1839, &c.

Which was read the first time.

The President announced a communication from his Excel-
lency, Governor Bowie, by the hands of R. C. Hollyday,
Esq., Secretary of State, endorsed, "On Executive Busi-
ness."

Mr. Spates, from the Committee on Corporations, to whom
was referred Senate bill entitled an Act to incorporate the
Home Mission of the Maryland Annual Conference of the
Methodist Protestant Church, passed at December session.
1860, chapter 35.

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, to whom had
been referred the petition of Noah Webster, of Somerset
county, asking for repayment of money erroneously paid into
the Treasury on account of the draft, reported it unfavor-
ably,

And the report was adopted.

Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, to whom
was referred the petition of 162 drafted men of Somerset
county, asking to bo allowed a bounty, reported it unfavor-
ably,

And the report was adopted.

Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, to whom had
been referred the House bill entitled an Act to appropriate a
sum of money to pay W. Frizzell.

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Earle, from the Committee an Finance, to whom had
been referred the Senate bill entitled a Supplement to and
to amend an Act to incorporate the Maryland Agricultural
Association, passed March 9, 1869.

Which was read the first time.

Henkle, from the Select Committee, reported a bill
entitiled an Act to provide for the distribution of the net
revenue arising from the inspections of tobacco in this State,
to Prince George's, Charles, St. Mary's, Anne Arundel and
Calvert counties.

Which was read the first time and ordered to be printed.

Mr. Snyder, from the Select Committee to whom had been
referred House bill entitled an Act to repeal sections I and 2,
of chapter 240 of the December session of the General Assem-
