Was ordered to be postponed.

The Senate bill entitled, an Act to authorize the Adjutant
General to furnish arms for the use of the Maryland Agricul-
tural College,

Being upon its second reading.
Mr Fields submitted the following amendment :

Amend the first section byadding the words, "if said arms
are now in the State Armory."

Mr. Hyland demanded the yeas and nays and they appear-
ed as follows:

Said bill was then read the second time and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.

Mr. Maddox asked and obtained leave of absence for
several days.

On motion by Mr. Biggs,

The bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 12 and 15, of an
Act passed at the January Session, 1867, chapter 298, en-
titled an Act to incorporate the Pennsylvania Line Railroad
Company,

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays, as
follows:

AFFIRMATIVE.
