to whom House bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 25, of
Article 13, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "How-
ard county," sub-title " Justices of the Peace and Consta-
bles," and to re-enact the same with amendments, reported
it without amendment.

Said bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Miller, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to whom House bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 43, of
Article 61, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Mechanics' Lien," and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments, reported it without amendments.

Said bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Miller, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to whom the House bill, entitled a supplement to an Act to
incorporate the Library Company of the Baltimore Bar, re-
ported it without amendment.

Said bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Miller, from the Select Committee, to whom the leave
had been granted, reported a bill entitled to add a new sec-
tion to the Code of Public Local Laws, for Cecil county, un-
der the title of Schools, for the purpose of apportioning the
Academic Fund of said. county, among the several Acade-
mies thereof.

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Welch, from the Select Committee, to whom was
referred the House bill, entitled a, supplement to an Act en-
titled. an Act to authorize the persons therein named, to
build a Methodist Meeting House on the Public Grounds in
Chestertown, Kent county, reported it without amendment.

Said bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Wilson, from the Select Committee, to whom the
leave had. been granted, reported a bill entitled, an Act to
facilitate the examination of titles to lands in Prince George's
county.

Which was read the first time.

The Joint Resolutions of Mr. Grove, in relation to the
Island of Cuba, being upon their second reading,

On motion by Miller,

Said resolutions were ordered to lie over, in consequence of
the absence of the Senator from Washington county.

The Senate bill entitled, an Act to add additional sections
to the 4th Article of the Code of Public Local Laws, relating
to the City of Baltimore, sub-title "Streets,"
