160 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Jan. 27,

Ordered, That the bill incorporating the Antietam Rail
Road Company of Washington county, be exempted from the
operation of the order of this House requiring all bills to be
printed before being put upon their second reading.

Which was read, and lies over one day under a rule of the
House.

On motion of Mr. Gatch,

Leave was granted to the Baltimore county delegation to
introduce a bill to authorize the Commissioners of Baltimore
county to levy a sum of money to build a bridge over the
Gunpowder, at Cromwell's Ford, 11th District of said county.

On motion of Mr. White,

Leave was granted to the Frederick delegation to introduce
a bill authorizing the Trustees of Mecbanicstown Academy to
dispose of said Academy.

On motion of Mr. Kilbourn,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to introduce
a bill to refund to Owen Disney, a sum of money overpaid to
the State.

On motion of Mr. Owens,

Leave was gi anted to the Committee on the Judiciary to in-
troduce a bill to regulate and make uniform the fees of
Justices of the Peace of the State, the law in reference to the
same having expired on the first day of April, 1869.

On motion of Mr. Baldwin, of Anne Arundel,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to in-
troduce a bill to restrict the indiscriminate granting of license
to sell intoxicating liquors.

On motion of Mr. Brattan,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to re-
port a bill to authorize John T. Waller, Guardian, to settle
his accounts as Guardian to Charles N. Waller, and to deliver
over the estate to his said ward.

On motion of Mr. Cameron,

Leave was granted to the Baltimore county delegation to
introduce a bill to authorize and empower the Commissioners
of Baltimore county to levy a sum of money to rebuild two
bridges on the line between the 5th and 6th Election Dis-
tricts of said county.

On motion of Mr. Neill,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to in-
