Journal Clerk, Reading Clerk, Sergeant-at-Arms and Post-
master be entitled to receive the same amount of stamps as
are received by the members of the Senate.

Mr. Carroll moved that the whole subject be laid upon the
table.

On motion by Mr. Clarke,

Leave was granted to Senators Clarke, Biggs and Henkle
to introduce a bill to authorize Thomas B. Gorsuch, School
Commissioner of the 5th election district of Baltimore coun-
ty, to sell and convey a parcel of ground formerly procured
for a School House site, which site is now abandoned, and to
apply the proceeds of such sale in procuring a Library for a
new school established within one half mile of the old school
house site

On motion by Mr. Henry, it was

Ordered, That the Comptroller be, and he is hereby
requested, to inform the Senate whether the appropriations
under the Act passed at January session 1858, chapter 201,
for the benefit of Cambridge Female Academy, payable in,
the years 1864 and 1865, has or has not been paid, and if not,
why the same has been withheld.

On motion by Mr. Browne,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance, to intro-
duce a bill to reimburse W. D. Frizzle, late Collector in Car-
roll county, for money overpaid into the Treasury.
