passed December session, 1849, Chapter 377, entitled an Act
to incorporate a company to make a turnpike road from Wil-
liamsport, in Washington county, to the Pennsylvania line,
in Franklin county, Pennsylvania.

A bill entitled, an Act to provide for the better protection
of partridges in Cecil county.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings

A bill entitled a supplement to an Act entitled, an Act to
incorporate the Library Company of the Baltimore Bar.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 12 and 15, of an
Act passed at the January session, 1867, Chapter 298, entitled
an Act to incorporate the Pennsylvania Line Rail Road Com-
pany,

Being upon its second reading,
Was, on motion by Mr. Stephenson, ordered to lie over,

The bill entitled an Act to amend an Act, entitled an Act
to incorporate the Parkton and Manchester Rail Road Com-
pany, passed at the January session, 1868,

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to amend the Act of 1868, Chapter
246, entitled an Act to aid in the establishment of a Hospital
in connection with the Washington University of Baltimore,
and to appropriate money for the same,

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to direct the Attorney. General of
this State, to cause the State of Maryland to be, by proper
proceedings, made a party in a cause now pending in the Cir-
cuit Court of Baltimore city, entitled, the Commonwealth of
Virginia, versus The Chesapeake and Ohio Canal and others;
and to appear for this State in said cause, and for other per-
sons,

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
