Leave was granted to the Committee on Militia to intro-
duce a bill to authorize the Adjutant General to furnish arms
and equipments for the use of the Maryland Agricultural
College.

Mr. Clarke by unanimous consent, submitted the following:

Ordered, That the Chairman of the Printing Committee
be, and he is hereby authorized to designate a person, whose
duty it shall be to convey to the Printer all matter ordered
to be printed, other than the Journal, and to see the same
is properly returned, and to count all documents, &c., &c.,
and hold the same subject to the order of Senators.

Mr. Snyder submitted the following amendment :

Insert after the word person, where it occurs in the fourth
line, from among the gentlemen elected as Committee Clerks.

Mr. Snyder withdrew said amendment.
