Gentlemen of the House of Delegates: We have received your message proposing the appointment
of a Joint Committee to visit all the reformatory and benevo-
lent institutions which are beneficiaries of the State, and re-
spectfully concur therein.

On motion by Mr. Earle, The words, "State Normal School" were inserted in said
message. On motion by Mr. Fields,

On motion by Mr. Grove, Leave was granted to the Committee on Pensions to intro-
duce a bill to repeal the Act of Assemby of 1868, chapter 432,
entitled " an Act granting to certain soldiers and widows of
soldiers of the war of 1812," a pension of eighty dollars per
annum, to bepaid in quarterly installments, and re-enact the
same with amendments. On motion by Mr. Grove, Leave was granted to the Committee on Militia to intro-
duce a bill to repeal the Act of Assembly of 1868, chapter
414, entitled an Act to repeal an Act "entitled an Act to
repeal Article 63, Code of Public General Laws, relating to
militia, and sections 652 to 771, both inclusive, of Art. 4, Code
of Public Local Laws, relating to militia in the city of Balti-
more," and to re-enact the same with amendments. On motion by Mr. Snyder,
