The hour having arrived for taking up the order of the
day,

The House proceeded to the consideration of the Senate bill
entitled an Act to repeal section three, of an Act passed March
twenty-first, eighteen hundred and sixty-seven, chapter 329,
entitled an Act to provide for the selection, drawing and sum-
moning of jurors in the several counties, and prescribing their
qualifications ; and also section two, of aa Act passed and ap-
proved March thirtieth, eighteen hundred and sixty-eight,
chapter three hundred and sixteen, entitled an Act to repeal
section two, of an Act passed March, twenty-first, eighteen
hundred and sixty-seven, chapter 329, entitled an Act to
provide for the selection, drawing and summoning of jurors
in the several counties, and prescribing their qualifications,
and re-enact the same with amendments ; and to re-enact the
said sections two and three with amendments.

Said bill being upon its passage,

Mr. Gatch, by unamimous consent, submitted the follow-
ing amendment.

Sec. 2. Strike out the words "Worcester and Somerset,"
and in the next line, after the word "Howard," insert the
words: Worcester and Somerset.

The amendment was adopted,

And the bill, as amended, read a third time and passed
bv yeas and nays, as follows:
