introduce a bill to make valid the acts of Joseph E. Scotten,
acting as a Justice of the Peace in Harlord county.

On motion of Mr. Merrick.

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a, bill to relieve the disabilities of citizens in and
under section 41, Article 3, of the Constitution.

On motion of Mr. McLane,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bid for the relief of Margaret Armstrong, of Bal-
timore county.

On motion of Mr. Grorman,

Leave was granted to the Howard county delegation and
Mr. Watkine, of Montgomery, to introduce a bill for the re-
pair of Public Roads in Howard county.

On motion of Mr. Martin,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to amend section 1, of Article 6, of the Consti-
tution, title, "Treasury Department," so as to submit the
election of Treasurer of this State to the qualified electors
thereof.

On motion of Mr. McLane,

Leave was granted to the Howard county delegation to in-
troduce a bill to repeal section 74, Article 13, Public Local
Laws, Howard county, sub-title, " Sheriff," and to re-enact
the same with amendments.

On motion of Mr. Cameron,

Leave was granted to the Baltimore county delegation to
introduce a bill to appoint one additional Magistrate in the
Fifth Election District of Baltimore county.

On motion oi Mr. Crawford,

Leave was granted to Messrs, Crawford, Gordy and Lank-
ford to report a bill to extend the jurisdiction of Justices of
the Peace of Wicomico county.

On motion of Mr. Sanner,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Inspections to in-
troduce a bill to provide for the inspection of Steam Engines
and Boilers in this State.

On motion of Mr. Markland,

Leave was granted to the Baltimore city delegation to in-
troduce a bill providing for the sale of the grounds and
