buildings now known as the Maryland Hospital, in the city
of Baltimore, and the application of the proceeds thereof to
the completion of the Spring Grove Hospital, and providing
also for the transfer of the government of the said Spring
Grove Hospital to the Board of Trustees now managing the
Maryland Hospital, and for a change of the name of the
Spring Grove Hospital to the Maryland Hospital.
On motion of Mr. Meekins,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to-
introduce a bill repealing and re-enacting with amendments,
the law relating to Cording of Wood in Baltimore city.
Mr. McLane submitted the following Joint Resolution:
Be it fiesolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Librarian be authorized to extend the use of the Library
to the Judges of the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel county,
during the sessions of said Court, at Annapolis.

Mr, Touchstone, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably a bill entitled an Act granting the assent of the
General Assembly of Maryland to a bequest of a legacy made
in the last will and testament of Joaiaa Ramsey, late of Cecil
county, deceased, to the Trustees of the Methodist Protestant
Church at New Leeds, in Cecil county.

Mr. Biddle, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably a bill entitled an Act to repeal Chapter 295, Act of
Assembly, 1868, entitled an Act to amend Article 4, of the
Code of Public Local Laws, title "Guano," by adding
thereto the following sections relating to the inspection of
all fertilizers other than guano, and to substitute tho follow-
ing in lieu thereof.

Mr. Loker, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably a bill entitled an Act for the protection of fish in
the tributaries of the Potomac river, lying in St. Mary's-
county, and to regulate the time and manner of catching and
taking fish in that portion of the Potomac river between Cobb
Point, in Charles county, and Point Lookout, in St. Mary's
county
Which was read a first time, and on motion of Mr. Loker
referred to the Committee on the Chesapeake Bay and its
Tributaries.
