So the amendment submitted by Mr. Watkins was adopted.
Mr. Watkins submitted the following amendment:

Section 2, strike out all from the word "old " in the 2d
line, to the word " said" in the 3d line.

Mr. Hoblitzell submitted the following amendment:

Strike out the 2d section entire.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Banner moved that the further consideration of the
bill bo postponed until Thursday next.

Decided in the negative.

On motion of Mr. Shipley,

The enacting clause was stricken out.

The bill entitled an Act to declare the sanction of the Gene-
ral Assembly of Maryland, to the gift and bequest of An-
drew Small, late of Washington city, deceased, to the Board
of Trustees of the Neelsville and Darnstown Presbyterian
