Mr. Bowlus submitted the following amendment:

Strike out the words "or expose" in the second line, and
insert "for the purpose of exposing."'

Which was rejected.

Mr. Hoblitzell submitted the following amendment:

Section 1, strike out in second line the words, "slaughter
any calf or expose said," and insert the words, expose any.

Which was read.

Mr. Meekins submitted the following amendment as a sub-
stitute .

Strike out iu the second line the words, "or expose said
slaughtered calf."

Which was rejected.

The question then recurring upon the amendment submit-
ted by Mr. Hoblitzell,

It was adopted.

Mr. Harris submitted the following amendment:

Section 1, line 3, strike out the words, "four weeks," and
insert the words, " twenty-five days."

Which was rejected.

Mr. Watkins submitted the following amendment :

Strike out all from the word "weeks " in the 3d line, to the
word " under " in the fourth line.

Which was read.

On motion, of Mr. Sanner, a call of the House was ordered.

Present at the call of the roll the following members :
