and directed, to draw his warrants for an amount not exceed-
ing the sum of seven thousand dollars, upon the Treasurer,
payable to the order of Lewis Wagner, Randolph Bro. & Co.,
William C. Wetherall, C. Dungan & Co., James H. King,
Thomas Clark & Bro., R. Wilkins, J. Cromwell, J. G. Bam-
sey & Co., J. Bumbeck, D. Rogers, Adam Nagle, Joseph Os-
burne, and such others as may be certified to said Comptroller
by said William F. Shaw & Co., as entitled to payment on
said account, in payment of their respective claims for work
done and materials furnished in the construction of said ves-
sel, said accounts to be certified on oath by said claimants
and approved by said William F. Shaw & Co., and if the
said amount is not sufficient to pay all said bills in full, then
it shall be appropriated pro rata for the purpose ; Provided,
that if there shall remain any balance after the payment of
the claims so certified and approved out of the said sum of
seven thousand dollars, then the Comptroller shall draw his
warrant upon the Treasurer in favor of William F. Shaw &
Co. for the payment to them of the balance so remaining.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the said sum of seven thou-
sand dollars be, and the same is hereby appropriated, for the
purpose of carrying into effect the provisions of this Act.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That all laws or parts of laws
heretofore passed, which are inconsistent with the provisions
of this Act, be and the same are hereby repealed.

Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

The amendments were severally read and adopted.

And the bill, as amended, ordered to be engrossed, and
having been engrossed,

Was read a third time and passed by yeas and nays, as
