Mr. Wells submitted the following order :

Ordered, That Mr. Baldwin, of Anne Arundel, be granted
leave of absence until Wednesday next.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Wells submitted the following order :

Ordered, That Mr. Wilson, of Baltimore city, be granted
leave of absence for this day.

Which was adopted.

On motion of Mr. Cooper,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to prevent the injury or destruction of bag-
gage.

On motion of Mr. Neill,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to intro-
duce a bill to direct the Treasurer of the State of Maryland,
upon the warrant of the Comptroller, to refund to J. S. Me-
Cartney a sum of money erroneously paid into the Treasury.

Mr. Hoblitzell, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably a bill entitled an Act to add a new section to Ar-
ticle IV. of the Code of Public Local Laws entitled Baltimore
City; said section be entitled Publication of Legal Notices.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. McLane, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably a bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enacfc section
959, of Article 4, of the Code of Public Local Laws of the
City of Baltimore, sub-title "Parks,"

Which was read a first time.

Mr, Meekins, from a Select Committee, reported favorably
a bill entitled an Act to add additional sections to Article 98,
of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, relating to
Wild Fowl,

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Harrington, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably a bill entitled an Act to add additional sections to
Article 98, of the Code of Public Gencnil Laws of Maryland,
relating to Wild Fowl.

Which was read a first time.

The bill entitled an Act to amend an Act passed March
18th, 1867, entitled an Act to revive and extend an Act to
incorporate the Worcester Railroad Company, passed at the
January session, 1853, with amendments.
