The bill entitled, an Act to amend the charter of the Cor-
poration of Bladensburg, in Prince George's county, passed
March 9, 1854,

Was read a second time, and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower the
County Commissioners, of Talbot, Caroline and Wicomico
counties, to control and regulate the public roads and bridges
in said counties,

Was read a second time, and ordered to be engrossed for a
lird reading.

The bill entitled an Act for the protection of fish in the
waters of the Chesapeake bay and its tributaries, lying in
Anne Arundel county,

Being upon a second reading,

Mr. Baldwin, of Anne Arundel, submitted the following
amendments :

Section 1, line 3, strike out the words "Chesapeake Bay,
or any of its Tributaries," and insert: any of the rivers,
creeks or coves.

Section 2, line 3, strike out all after the word "Catch,"
and insert: terrapins or crabs, in any of the rivers, creeks
or coves lying in said county.

The amendments were severally read and adopted,
And the bill, as amended, read a second time and ordered
to be engrossed for a third reading.

The hour having arrived for taking up the order of the
day,

The House proceeded to the consideration of the bill entitled
an Act to repeal all those sections of Article 4, of the Code
of Public Local LawS for the City of Baltimore, title "Inspec-
tions," from section 272 to section 567, also thefollowing Acts
supplementary and amendatory thereto, to wit: the Act of
1861, chapter 35, Acts of 1862, chapter 116, 199, 254 and
283, Acts of 1864, chapters 189, 328,339, 346, 369 and 384,
Acts of 1865, chapters 6, 165, 192 and 194, Acts of 1867,
chapters 148, 241, 368 and 381, and Acts of 1868.

Said bill being upon a third reading.
Pending the consideration whereof,
On motion of Mr. Merrick,

The House resolved itself into a Committee of the whole,
Mr. Chapman Chairman,) for the purpose of considering the
bill under consideration.
