Maryland, and to prevent the sale of all kinds of intoxicating
drinks within the above described limits.

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 483, of Article 4,
of the Public Local Laws, of the City of Baltimore, sub-title
"Lumber,"

Was read a third time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The Secretary of the Senate returned the bill entitled an
Act to repeal and re-enact with amendments sections 12 and
14, of Article 41, Code of Public General Laws, title "Fish
and Fisheries," sub-title "Potomac," and to add additional
sections thereto, for the further protection of fish, and regu-
lation of the shad and herring fisheries in said river,

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays, with proposed amend-
ment.

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Amend sub-section 3, by striking out the word "five,"
wherever it occurs in line 8, and substituting therefor the
word: one.

The amendment was read and adopted,

And the bill, as amended, passed by yeas and nays, as fol-
lows:
