napolis, and herewith return the same.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the Senate, to-
gether with the bill named therein.

The bill entitled an Act to prohibit the sale of all spiritu-
ous or intoxicating liquors within the bounds of Potato Neck
District, in Somerset county, and providing for the submis-
sion of the same to the legally quallified voters of said dis-
trict,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 615, of Article 4,,
of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled, " Jurors," and
re-enact the same with amendment,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to add an additional section to
Article 20, of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled, '' Tal-
bot County," to come in after section 81 of said Article,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act Supplementary to an Act passed
at the January session, 1867, chapter 247, entitled an Act
to establish and incorporate an Asylum for the Deaf and
Dumb of the State of Maryland, and also, an Act passed at
the January session, 1868, chapter 409, entitled an Act to
amend and add additional sections to the Act of 1867, chap-
ter 247,

Being upon a second reading,

Mr. Gorman submitted the following amendment:

Strike out in section 17, line 17, after the words " Mary-
land," to word " and," in line 9.

Which was rejected.

Mr. Merrick submitted the following amendment:

Section 18, line 1, between the words " one " and " cent,"
insert the word per.

Which was adopted.

Mr. McCreery submitted the following amendment:
