1036 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 26,

Mr. Marbnry submitted the following amendments:

Sec. 2, after the word "counties," insert the words: city
or cities.

Sec. 5, line 4, strike out the word "and," and add at end
of the section, the words: and to taxation as other personal
property.

Sec. 8, line 5, strike out the word "Auditor," and insert:
Comptroller.

Which were severally read and adopted.

Mr. Merrick submitted the following amendment :

Section 10, strike out inline 30, after the word "Com-
pany," down to the word, "respectively," in line 37.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Baldwin, of Anne Arundel, submitted the following
amendment:

Sec. 11, line 20, insert after the word "or," the words:
sixty days.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Merrick submitted the following amendment:

Add at the end of section 11: Provided, that when any
condemnation shall have been made and confirmed under this
or preceding sections, the said condemnation shall be finally
binding upon this Company, unless within thirty days they
elect to abandon said location.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Marbury submitted the following amendment:

Sec. 12, add at the end of section the words: and provided
that no Railroad Company shall be allowed to pass through
the City of Baltimore without the consent of the municipal
authorities.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Meekins submitted the the following amendment:
Sec. 15, line 10, add : provided further, that said corpora-
tions shall be liable to taxation.

Which was rejected.

Mr. Chapman submitted the following amendment:

Section 16, add at the end thereof: and provided such cor-
poration shall be liable for damage caused by such diversion
of any stream.

Which was adopted.
