Which was read, assented to, and sent to the Senate, to-
gether with the bills therein referred to.

Also, returned the bill entitled an Act to provide for the
renewal of certain bonds and certificates of indebtment of the
State already due and of others falling due in the year 1870,

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays, with proposed
amendments."

Mr. Merrick submitted the following message :

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

March 25, 1870.
Gentlemen of the Senate :

The House of Delegates have received and considered the
House bill entitled an Act to provide for the renewal of cer-
tain bonds and certificates of indebtment of the State already
due and others falling due in the year 1870, with certain
amendments thereto adopted by the Senate, and non-concur
in the amendments of the Senate, and ask a Committee of
Conference.

We have appointed on the part of the House, Messrs Mer-
rick, McLane and Kilbourn.

MILTON Y. KIDD,

Chief Clerk.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the Senate, to-
gether with the bill therein named.

Mr. Gatch, Chairman of a Select Committee, (the rules
being suspended,) reported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal an Act passed January
session 1868, relating to the registration of voters, and to
enact other provisions in lieu thereof.

Which was read a first time, and on motion of Mr. Gatch
made the order of the day for Wednesday, March 30th.

Mr. Hammond, Chairman of a Select Committee, (the
rules being suspended,) reported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower the
County Commissioners of Talbot, Caroline and Wicomico
counties to control and regulate the public roads and bridges
in said counties.

Which was read a first time.

The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following bills :

The bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Wicomico Ex-
change Bank.
