1012 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 25,

Leave was granted to the Baltimore city delegation to in-
troduce a, bill to repeal sections 952 and 953, of Article 4, Code
of Public Local Laws of Baltimore city.

Mr. Hopkins (the rules being suspended,) submitted the
following order :

Ordered, That Mr. Ady have leave of absence until Mon-
day next.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Kirk, (the rules being suspended,) submitted the fol-
lowing order :

Ordered, That Mr. Gardner, of Baltimore city, have leave
of absence until Monday next, to attend urgent business.

Which was adopted.

The Secretary of the Senate returned the bill entitled an
Act for the relief of John H. B. Latrobe, and authorizing
the Appeal Tax Court of Baltimore city to correct errors in
the assessment of his property in Baltimore city,

Endorsed, "Reported unfavorably by the Committee on
Finance, and report adopted."

Which was read.
Also,

The bill entitled an Act for the relief of Miss Margaret H.
Armstrong, of Baltimore county,

Endorsed, "Reported unfavorably by the Committee on
Finance, and report adopted."

Which was read.

Mr. McLane submitted the following message :

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

March 25, 1870.
Gentlemen of the Senate:

We have received your message informing this House of
the adoption, by the Senate, of unfavorable reports on House
bills Nos. 190 and 318, for the relief of Margaret H. Arm-
strong and John H. B. Latrobe, and non-concur therein.

We ask your Honorable Body to appoint a Committee of
Conference to consider the same.

We have appointed on the part of this House Messrs. Mc-
Lane, Merrick and Kilbourn.
