At the request of the General Assembly, the Task
Force on Indoor Air Quality was formed by the
Governor in March 1989 (Joint Resolutions nos 6
and 12, Acts of 1988) The Task Force studied the
extent of dangerous levels of indoor air pollution in
homes and buildings in the State and made recom-
mendations for improving indoor air quality
The Task Force reported its findings and recom-
mendations to the Governor in May 1990

The Commission oversaw the design, construe
non, and dedication of a memorial to Marylanders
who served in the Korean Wir The Commission also
complied a list of Marylanders who died in or are snil
declared missing-in-action from the Korean War
The Commision's work concluded when the
Maryland Korean War Memorial was dedicated on
May 27, 1990, at 2903 Boston Street, Cancon
Waterfront Park, Baltimore The Maryland Veterans
Commission maintains the Memorial
