These services include hospital inpatient services and hospital outpatient services, diagnostic, licensed laboratory services, dental and optometric services, ambulance, special treatment, drugs and certain medical supplies to indigent and medically indigent. The Administration also involves pur- chase of care under the Medicare program. The medical expenses of this program are Federally matched on a fifty-fifty basis for approximately ninety per cent of the recipients. For the remaining ten per cent the medical expenses are funded one hundred per cent from State and local funds. The medical expenses for this group, however, are approximately twenty-five per cent of the total expenditures for the program.
