MARYLAND MANUAL 575 Chapter 368—Acts of 1972 An Act to propose an amendment to Article I of the Constitution of Maryland, title "Elective Franchise," by repealing Section 2 in its entirety and enacting a new Section 2 in lieu thereof, to stand in the place of the section repealed, revising the constitutional pro- vision concerning the prohibition of the right to vote under certain circumstances in order to authorize the General Assembly by law to regulate or prohibit the right to vote of a person convicted of in- famous or other serious crime or under care or guardianship for mental disability, and providing for the submission of this amend- ment to the Qualified voters of the State for adoption or relection.
