576 MARYLAND MANUAL Chapter 369—Acts of 1972 An Act to propose amendments to Article III of the Constitution of Maryland, title "Legislative Department," by amending Sections 27 and 28 thereof to provide that the Senate and the House of Dele- gates may adopt by rule a "consent calendar" procedure permitting bills to be read and voted upon as a single group on both second and third readings, provided that such rule provide the membership of these bodies with reasonable notice and an opportunity to object; and submitting this amendment to the legal and qualified voters of the state for adoption or rejection.
