Preston Street, Baltimore 21201 Telephone: 383-2564 The Governor appointed the members of the Task Force on Fleet Management by Executive Order in 1&71 to develop a plan to improve the management of the motor vehicle fleet of the State and to recommend methods for implementing the plan. The Task Force consists of representatives Of many executive departments. The group is to explore the criteria for assigning State vehicles to individual employees or officials, terms and conditions of use, the desirability of establishing motor pools, the types of vehicles to be purchased, the method of procurement, fleet management principles, maintenance and repair, and total cost factors. The Task Force is also to consider any additional matters as may be necessary to achieve its objectives. It is to make a preliminary report to the Governor and the Board of Public Works by February 1, 1972 and a final report no later than June 1, 1972. DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES ADVISORY COUNCIL Appointed for one year terms: Justin Bloom, Gertrude Justison, William Lorman, Kenneth Matthews, James Morrison, Merl D. Myers, Sheridan Neimark, Stanley Sidle, William Sykes. Appointed for two year terms: Ruth Baldwin, M.D., Raymond Clemmens, M.D., Roger Davidson, Jerry Davis, Herb Fodder, Judson Force, M.D., Robert Haslam, M.D., Frederick Nims, John Pitts, M.D. Appointed for three year terms: William Cox, John Crew, Eugene Guthrie, Marguerite J. Hastings, Theophil K. Muel- len, Harry Shriver, George Thomas, M.D., Mrs. Wilbur Ulle, Roger Winters. The Secretary of Health and Mental Hygiene appointed the members of the Developmental Disabilities Advisory Council with the approval of the Governor in 1971 to carry out the terms of Public Law 91-517. The Council consists of twenty-seven members appointed for staggered three year terms and represent professional, consumer, and agencies of the State which have responsibility for the retarded and persons with other developmental dis- abilities such as health, education and welfare agencies, parents, and non-governmental agencies, groups and organiza- tions concerned with providing such services. The Council is to develop recommendations concerning staffing for the Council, |
