JOINT COMMISSION ON CONSERVATION OF
MIGRATORY FIN-FISH

The Joint Commission on Conservation of Migratory Fin-Fish was
organized in 1953. It is composed of legislative committees of each
of the three participating states—Maryland, Virginia and North
Carolina. The Maryland Committee is composed of two members of
the Senate and three members of the House of Delegates appointed
by the presiding officers of each house. The purpose of the Commis-
sion is to study the causes of the diminishing quantity of fin-fish in
the area (1953, J. R. 3).

The Commission to study the State's Judicial System was appointed
by the Governor in 1953. It is the purpose of the Commission to study
the judiciary system of the State with particular reference to the
following problems: consolidation of the several courts of Baltimore
City, full-time judges for traffic courts, a pension system for judges,
reform of the police courts and new methods of dealing with juvenile
delinquency.

(A Sub-Committee of the Committee on Medical Care,
Maryland State Planning Commission)

This committee was authorized by the 1953 General Assembly. The
committee will study the financial relationship between the State and
