The Patapsco Land Advisory Committee was appointed in June,
1951, by the Governor, it consists of sixteen members, six represent-
ing the State, two representing Baltimore City and two representing
each of the four counties in which the park is situated. It is the duty
of the Committee to serve as an advisory group to the Department
of Forests and Parks in the acquisition of land for the Patapsco
River Valley Park.
COMMISSION TO STUDY THE PROBLEM OF
LOCAL LEGISLATION
The establishment of this Commission was requested by the General
Assembly of 1951. It is to be composed of twenty-four persons, three
from each of the eight judicial circuits. It is the purpose of this
Commission to study means for reducing the number of local bills
submitted to the General Assembly at each session. The Commission
is to report to the Legislative Council on or before September 1, 1952
(1951, J. R. 11).

OF USING A LETHAL GAS CHAMBER IN MARYLAND
The appointment of this Commission was requested by Senate
Resolution No. 10 of the 1961 General. Assembly.
COMMISSION TO STUDY THE POSSIBILITY OF ACQUIRING THE
BRIDGE OVER THE POTOMAC RIVER AT WILLIAMSPORT

The Commission to Study the Possibility of Acquiring the Bridge
over the Potomac River at Williamsport was requested by a resolu-
tion of the Senate in 1951. The resolution provided that the Commis-
sion be composed of the Board of Public Works, the Chairman of the
State Roads Commission, the Director of Public Improvements, ex-
officio, and three residents of Washington County to be appointed by
the Governor (1951, S. R. 11).
