149. The Orphans' Court of Caroline county shall ascertain,
and pay to.the trustees of primary school district number one,
in Queen Anne's county, that portion of the school fund of Caro-
'line county due and belonging to that portion of school district
number six, in Caroline county, heretofore united to primary
school district number one, in Queen Anne's county.

150. The trustees of Centreville Academy shall, until a pri-
mary school is established in said district, furnish tuition in said
academy,'gratuitously, to all children within a circuit of three
miles around the academy, whose parents they shall have suf-
ficient reason to believe are not able to pay for their instruction.

151. All free white children in the respective school districts
shall have the privilege of being taught in the primary school,
free of any charge for tuition, but children living in a district,
having property elsewhere, not taxed for the support of schools,
and none in said district, or whose parents have property thus
situated, shall be subject to a charge for tuition, if the trustees
think such children or their parents are able to pay such charge;

and no scholar shall be furnished with books or stationery, except
such as the trustees shall thiuk unable to furnish themselves.

152. The trustees in each school district may expel any scholar
from school for continued and extraordinary misbehavior.

SHERIFF-
153. The sheriff of said county shall be entitled to eight per
cent. for collecting and paying over officers' and attorneys' fees.

SURVEYOR.

154. All surveys of land in said county, done by authority of
law, may be performed by the surveyor of the county and his
deputies, except where he has a personal interest in the survey.

155. All warrants, writs and orders issued from the courts of
said county, under which lands are to be surveyed in said county,
may be directed to and executed by the county surveyor.

156. But such process may be issued to and executed by any
other surveyor of the county, and if so directed, the person to
whom so directed, shall make oath to execute and perform his
