772 QUEEN ANNE'S COUNTY. [ART. 17.

duty as surveyor, according to the best of his skill, and without
favor, partiality or prejudice to any of the parties interested.

WEIGHTS AND MEASURES.

157. The clerk of the county commissioners shall be keeper
of the standards of weights and measures for said county, and
they shall be kept and preserved in the office of the said com-
missioners.

158. The said clerk shall, upon application, try, correct, brand,
mark and stamp the weights and measures of any citizen of said
county, and shall receive six and a quarter cents for each weight
and measure, and twelve and a half cents for each scale beam
tried, branded, marked and stamped, to be paid by the person for
whom the service may be rendered.
