680 KENT COXTNTY. [ART. 14.

183. His official bond as clerk shall be liable for the faithful
and punctual payment and disbursement thereof, and may be
sued by the trustees for the time being of any school district
or a majority of them, or by the district in its corporate
capacity.

184. He shall, in the month of November in each year, appor-
tion said fund equally among the several school districts that
shall have reported to him.

185. He shall, under a penalty of one hundred dollars, annu-
ally, on or before the last Monday of December, report to the
Treasurer of the State a full and detailed account of the manner
in which he has disposed of the same.

186. Each organized school district shall be a corporation by
the name of " School District in ---- District of Kent county,
No. --," with power to take and hold by devise, bequest and
donation, real and personal estate, not exceeding in clear annual
income five hundred dollars, for the use of the primary school in
said district, and may alien and sell the same, when in the
opinion of the trustees of said district it will be for the interest
and advantage of the primary school in said district, and invest
the money arising from the sale in some safe and profitable stock,
and the dividends received from the same apply to the use of
such primary school; and in their corporate name prosecute and
maintain actions for injury done to the grounds, houses, property,
school houses, appurtenances and furniture, and sue for and re-
cover all moneys due them for real and personal property to
which they. may be entitled.

187. The trustees of primary schools in each election district
shaU constitute a board of commissioners of primary schools for
such election district, and shall visit each primary school in their
election district quarterly, or oftener if they shall deem it neces-
sary, and examine into the condition of such school and give
their advice and direction to .teachers.

188. The county commissioners of said county shall annually
levy a sum equal in amount to the net and clear sum of one
hundred and fifty dollars for each primary school district in said
county, which shall have been reported to them as hereinbefore
directed, for the support of primary schools, afld. the sum so
levied shall be collected by the collector of the county, and paid
