89. They shall appoint their own crier, and levy for him an-
nually a sum of money not exceeding one dollar a day for every
day he shall act as such.

90. The clerk to said commissioners shall receive such com-
pensation for his services as the commissioners shall deem rea-
sonable.

ElECTIONS.

91. Dorchester county is divided into twelve election districts
according to their present bounds and limits, in each of which
districts all elections for public officers shall be held at the place
now established by law.

92. The judges and clerks of election in Dorchester county
shall each be entitled to the sum of three dollars per day for
each election at which they shall attend, and for making returns.

FEDEBAISBUKG.

98. The citizens of the village of Federalsburg in Dorchester
and Caroline counties are a body politic by the name of " The
Commissioners of Federalsburg," and by that name may sue and
be sued, and may have and use a common seal, and may break
and alter the same at pleasure.

94. The commissioners of said village shall be five in number,
and the term of office of the oldest in time of service of said
commissioners shall expire on the first Wednesday in July in
each year.

95. The free white male citizens of said village of the ago
of twenty-one years and upwards, who have resided in said
village six months, and twelve months in the State, shall, on
the first Wednesday in July in each year, elect one person'
qualified in all respects in the same manner as the voters, to
fill the place of the commissioner whose term of office has ex-
pired.

96. All elections shall be held as the commissioners shall, from •
time to time, by their by-laws direct.

97. The said commissioners shall fill all vacancies in their
number happening by death, resignation, removal or disqualifi-
