county commissioners; Provided, that the amount estimated and
to be levied for the salary of officers and incidental expenses
shall in no year exceed six hundred dollars.
184. The school commissioners shall apportion equally among
the several school districts of the county the amount the county
shall be entitled to receive from the State and the amount levied
by the county commissioners.
135. The board of school commissioners shall prescribe rules
and regulations for the management and government of said
aohools, setting forth the course of studies to be observed, the
character and kind of books to be used, and the number of
honra to be taught a day, and such other rules as they may think
•fSQfW, and the treasurer of the school fund shall furnish each
primary Bofaool teacher a copy of such rules and regulations.
186. Each teacher shall be required to make oath before a
jastice of the peace in said county that he has in the manage-
ment of his school observed and fully complied with all the rules
and regulations prescribed by the board of commissioners for the
management and government of said schools, and with such
other duties as are imposed by law upon said teachers; and the
board of commissioners shall withhold payment from any teacher
•who refuses or neglects to make such oath.
137. Bach primary school teacher shall furnish the school com-
missioners with a list of the names of the children of indigent
parents attendant on his school unable to procure the necessary
school books, and the school commissioners shall thereupon pro-
vide such necessary books for the use of said children, and shall
keep an account of the sums so expended, and report the same
annually to the county commissioners at the time for making
the annual levy, and the county commissioners shall levy the
, »ame; Provided, such sum does not exceed six dollars annually
for each primary school.
188. The school commissioners shall receive an adequate com-
pensation for their services, not exceeding two dollars per day
for each day they may be engaged in the discharge of their
duties; but no school commissioner shall receive pay for more
than ten days in any one year.
