138. Upon receiving such warrant the said keeper of horses
at livery may Bell such horse, mare, gelding, or vehicle at public
auction, at some public place in said county, after giving at least
ten days' notice in two of the daily newspapers, published in the
city of Baltimore, of the time, place and manner of sale, and,
after deducting the amount due for keeping and all expenses of
said sale, shall pay the surplus, if any, to the owner thereof.
LEGAI. NOTICES.
134. The advertisements, orders and notices required to be
published in a newspaper or newspapers, by the Circuit Court
for Baltimore county, the Orphans' Court for said county, the
register of wills, the clerk of the Circuit Court, the county com-
missioners, and the sheriff of said county, shall be published in
at least one newspaper in Baltimore county, out of the limits
of the city of Baltimore, during the publication of a paper in
said county.
NUISANCES.
135. No person shall haul, cart, carry, drag, or deposit any
dead carcass, or other carrion, in Baltimore county, within one
mile of the city of Baltimore, unless be shall bury, or cause the
same to be buried, at least two feet under ground, and so as
effectually to prevent any offensive smell therefrom, under the
penalty of twenty dollars for each offence, together with the
expense of burying or removing the same.
136. No person shall keep and maintain any kennel or pack of
bounds, or any number of that species of dogs, exceeding three,
within Baltimore county, within one mile of the city of Balti-
more; and any person keeping and maintaining, or causing to be
kept and maintained, any number of hounds, contrary to the
provisions of this section, shall forfeit and pay tKe sum of twenty
dollars for every such offence, and shall moreover be subject to
pay the further sum of one dollar per day for each day the said
hounds, exceeding as above, shall be BO kept or maintained
thereafter.

137. Any person who shall bury or remove any dead carcass
or offensive carrion, thrown out and deposited contrary to the
provisions of this article, shall recover, before any justice of the
peace, against the person guilty of such offence, all expenses
thereby incurred in burying and removing the same.
