The bill was indefinitely postponed.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal the 25th and 26th sec-
tions of the 16th Article of the Code of Public General Laws,
entitled Chancery, relating to Divorces, and to re-enact the
same with amendments,

Being upon a second reading,

Mr. Stewart, of Dorchester, submited the following
amendment:

Strike out sub-section 25.
Which was rejected.

The bill was then read a second time and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to add a section relating to life
estates in real property to Article 16 of the Code of Public
General Laws, entitled Chancery,

Being upon a second reading,

Mr. Stewart, of Dorchester, moved to strike out the enact-
ing clause of the bill.

Decided in the negative.

The bill was then read a second time and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.

Mr. Nicolai (the rules being suspended,) submitted the
following order :

Ordered, That at the evening sessions of this House, each
member shall, as his name is called, as it is entered on the
roll of the House, have the privilege of calling up a local bill
and passing it through its several readings.

Which was read, and,

On motion of Mr. Nelson,
Laid on the table.

The bill entitled an Act to add an additional section to
Article 57, of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland,
concerning limitations of actions,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to provide for the indexing the
records in the office of Register of the Wills for Allegany
county.

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
