Which was read a first time.

The House resumed the consideration of the unfinished
business of yesterday, being

The bill entitled an Act to repeal the several sections of
Article 56 of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled
Licenses, and re-enact the same with amendments, and to
add an additional section thereto.

Said bill being upon a second reading,

Mr. Coudy moved that all that part thereof relating to
licenses being granted to hill brokers, be stricken out.

Decided in the negative.

Mr. Legg moved the indefinite postponement of the bill.

The question being on concurring in the motion,

Mr, Slingluff demanded the yeas and nays.

The demand being sustained,
