more Rail Road Company, H. F. Kenny, Esq., Superintend-
ent of the said Company, S. M, Felton, Esq., President of
the Philadelphia and Baltimore Central Rail Road Company,
and Thomas Donaldson, Esq., Attorney for both Companies,
to say, that these gentlemen responded promptly to the sum-
mons of your Committee, and in the course of investigation
throughout, manifested every desire to give all required infor-
mation. They treated your Committee with every mark of
respect, and expressed themselves as willing and anxious to
meet any further investigations which your Honorable Body
may deem necessary to make.

All of which we respectfully submit.

Mr. McElroy, Chairman of a select committee, reported
favorably

A bill entitled an Act to regulate and make uniform the
compensation of the Judges of the Orphans' Courts of the
several counties, and to fix the compensation of the Judges
of the Orphans' Court of Baltimore city.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Chaisty, Chairman of a select committee, reported
favorably

A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 939, Article 4, of
the Public Local Laws, relating to Baltimore city, sub-title
Water, as enacted by chapter 38 of the Act of the General
Assembly, passed at the January session, 1866, and to re-
enact the said section so as to read as follows.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Davis, of Carroll, Chairman of a select committee,
reported favorably

A bill entitled an Act to authorize the opening of a road
in Carroll and Howard counties.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Hubbard, Chairman of a select committee, reported
favorably

Senate bill entitled an Act to to authorize the Clerk of the
Circuit Court for Caroline county to purchase a book and to
index the land records of said county.
