tee on State Tobacco Warehouses.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to authorize the Clerk of the Circuit
Court for Caroline county, to purchase a book and to index
the land records of said county.

Which was read a first time and referred to Messrs. Hub-
bard, Moore and Lowe.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to amend the 7th section of the 18th
Article of the Code of Public General Laws, providing for the
payment of public monies by Clerks of Courts.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Ways and Means.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to amend sections 146 and 147 of
the 81st Article of the Code of Public General Laws, relating
to the payment of public monies by Clerks and Registers of
Wills.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Ways and Means.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to add an additional Article to the
Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, to be entitled
Commission Merchants, relative to their responsibilities for
boxes, bags, baskets, chests and barrels in which fruit or
vegetables may be sent to them.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Agriculture.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to organize the Department of Labor
and Agriculture pursuant to the 10th Article of the Consti-
tution.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Agriculture.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to add to the 11th section of Article
56 of the Code of Public General Laws, a sub-section requir-
ing a license to enable any person to act as insurance brokers.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Ways and Means.
