On motion of Mr. Devecmon,
Leave was granted to the Allegany county delegation to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to enable Thomas Gemmell
to hold land, &c., and dispose of the same.
On motion of Mr. Stewart, of Dorchester,
Leave was granted to the Dorchester county delegation to
introduce a bill to empower and direct the County Commis-
sioners of Dorchester county to levy annually, in advance,
certain moneys to pay the fees of the State's Attorney of
said county, as the same shall fall due.
On motion of Mr. Bowlus,
Leave was granted to the Frederick county delegation to
introduce a bill to revive an Act passed January session,
1860, incorporating a company to build a turnpike road from
Frederick to Spout Spring.
On motion of Mr. Conway,
Leave was granted to the Baltimore city delegation to in-
troduce a hill to authorize the Mayor and City Council of
Baltimore to uniform the Baltimore city police force, by
making appropriations therefor within certain limits.
On motion of Mr. Silver.
Leave was granted to the Committee on Education to in-
troduce a bill, entitled an Act to restore the State donation
to the Harford County Academy, at Belair, in said county.
On motion of Mr. Jones,
Leave was granted to Messrs. Jones, Clark and Slingluff,
to introduce a bill to amend the Act incorporating Ellicott
City.
On motion of Mr. Fooks,
Leave was granted to Messrs. Fooks, Hopkins and Horsey
to report a bill to prevent persons from shooting toxes while
being pursued by sportsmen, in Wicomico county.
On motion of Mr. Montague,
Leave was granted to the Baltimore county delegation to
introduce a bill to prohibit cows from running at large in
Baltimore county, within seven miles of the limits of the
city of Baltimore.
On motion of Mr. Deale,
Leave was granted to the Anne Arundel county delegation
to report a bill to authorize the County Commissioners of
Anne Arundel county to correct the errors in the assessment
and valuation of the lands and premises of Wm. H. Peake
and David White, erroneously assessed under the Act of
Assembly of 1866, chapter 157.
On motion of Mr. Montague,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to in-
troduce a bill to make valid the acts of Geo. W. Bitter, a
Justice of the Peace of Baltimore county., done within the
limits of the city of Baltimore.
