Mr. Sudler submitted the following order :

Ordered, That John W. Davis have leave of absence until
Tuesday next, to visit his home.
Which was adopted.

Mr. Rohb submitted the following order :

Ordered, That Mr. Sanner, of Baltimore city, have leave
of absence for this day.

On motion of Mr. Seibert,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
report a bill to make an additional supplement to an Act for
founding the Hagerstown Academy.

Also,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
report a bill to amend the charter of the Mutual Insurance
Company of Washington county.

On motion of Mr. Silver,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and Means
to introduce a bill to amend the Act entitled an Act to
authorize the Pennsylvania Mutual Horse Thief Detecting
and Insurance Company of York, Pennsylvania, to transact
business in the State of Maryland.

On motion of Mr. Montague,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to incorporate the "Steam Boiler Protection
Company of Maryland."

On motion of Mr. Seibert,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to repost
a bill amending the act passed at the present session, in re-
lation to commutation of stationery.

Mr. Rohrer, acting Chairman of the Committee on Pen-
sions, reported favorably

A bill entitled an Act to pay certain pensioners herein
named, the sum of $80 annually.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Latrobe, acting Chairman of the Committee on Ways
and Means, reported favorably

A hill entitled an Act to provide for the annual levy of
State taxes on the real and personal property of this State
under the assessment of 1866.

Which was read a first time.
