The bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 289 of the Laws
of Maryland, passed March 22d, 1867, entitled, " An Act to
add a new Article to the Code of Public General Laws, to be
entitled Public Roads in Caroline and Talbot counties."

Also,

The hill entitled an Act to give the assent of the Legisla-
ture of this State, to a bequest in the will of Susan A. Good-
win, late of Charles county, deceased, to the Vestry of
Trinity Parish in said county.

Also,

The bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 74, 75, 76, 77
and 78 of Article 75 of the Code of Public General Laws, en-
titled Pleadings, Practice and Process, sub-title "remo-
val of causes," as amended by the Act of Assembly, 1865,
chapter 187, and to enact the following as substitutes there-
for.

Also,

The bill entitled an Act to appropriate the sums of money
therein mentioned to pay the claims of Augustus Gassaway
and R. Vinton Clayton, assignees of George Earle, Bartlett,
Robbins & Co., Frederick Sasscer, George A. Huntt, George
E. Gambrill, William Walsh, trustee, A. Hamilton Hall,
Lewis Magruder, John M. Bond, R. Vinton Clayton, George
S. White, Leonard & Townsend, James R. Alvey, Charles
Shipley, A. S. Abell & Co., Daniel Caulk, and Jacob
Markee.

Mr. Legg, Chairman of the Committee on Elections, re-
ported favorably

A bill entitled an Act to amend and re-enact section 213
of Article 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title City of
Baltimore, sub-title Elections.

Which was read a first time.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 5, chapter 336, of
the Acts of 1867, and to re-enact the following in lieu
thereof.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Richards, Chairman of a select committee, reported
favorably

A bill entitled an Act to provide for the better protection
of partridges in Cecil county.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Holloway, Chairman of a select committee, reported
