Section 5, lines 9 and 10, strike out "superintendent,"
and insert examiner ; line 18, strike out " superintendent,"
and insert commissioner.

Page 42, section 4, line 6, after year, add, provided, that
the regular sessions of the schools shall not be interfered
with.

Section 2, lines 1, 2 and 3, strike out all after teacher down
to superintendent, inclusive.

Chapter 3, section 1, line 1, after "held," insert during
vacation; line 2, strike out "superintendent/1 and insert
examiner.

Section 3, line 1, strike out "superintendent," and insert
commissioner; line 2, strike out "President of the respec-
tive;" line 3, strike out " School Boards," and insert ex-
aminer.

Page 43, section 4, line 2, strike out " superintendent,"
and insert commissioner, if he can be present; line 3, strike
out " superintendent," and insert commissioner ; line 5,
strikeout "shall," and insert may.

Page 44, section 5, lines 1 and 2, strike out " during the
session of the institute there shall be a vacation of the
schools."

Section 2, line 1, after the word the, insert Board of
County School Commissioners.

Page 45, section 1, line 2, strike out "superintendent,"
and insert commissioner; line 3, strike out "three thou-
sand," and insert twenty-two hundred ; line 4, strike out
"twenty-five hundred," and insert two thousand; line 5,
after county, strike out the remainder of the section, and in-
sert, examiners under this law shall receive each a salary of
not less than six hundred dollars nor more than eight hun-
dred dollars per annum ; provided, that nothing herein con-
tained shall preclude the County Commissioners of any
county, upon the recommendation of the Board of County
School Commissioners, from levying such reasonable addition
to the aforesaid salary as they may deem expedient.

Mr. Iglehart submitted the following amendment:

hereby authorized to do so.
