Section 18, line 7, after the word made, insert: But if the
articles condemned be perishable in their character, then the
notice may be shorter than twenty days at the discretion of
the Justice.

Which was adopted.

On motion of Mr.Williams,

The vote by which section 7 was passed to a third read-
ing was reconsidered.

The section then being upon a second reading,
Mr. Williams submitted the following amendment:

Section 7. Strike out all after the word may in third line,
to the word "State" in sixth line, inclusive, and insert the
words "desire to catch oysters."

Which was adopted.

Mr. Williams submitted the following amendment:

Strike out all after the word "than," in line 10, to the
word "where," in line 11.

Which was adopted.

On motion of Mr. Jones,

The further reading of the 7th section was suspended,
And the House proceeded to the reading of section 19,
Mr. Latrobe submitted the following amendment:

Section 19, line 3, strike out the words "but not within
the limits of any county."

Which was rejected.

Mr. Coad submitted the following amendment:

Section 23, line 7, after the word "violating," insert the
words : or who may have been guilty of any violation of.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Vandiver submitted the following amendment:

Section 25, line 20, insert the word "and " before the word
"furniture," and strike out the words "and all things" in
same line.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Smith, of Baltimore city, submitted the following
amendments :

Section 28, line 10, strike out the word "county" and
insert the word State.

In line 11, strike out the word "county" and insert the
word State.
