THURSDAY, January 16, 1868.

The House met, and was opened with prayer by the Rev.
Mr. Hammond.

Present at the call of the roll the following members :
Messrs. Stewart, (Speaker,) Loker, Coad, Boyer, Beck,
Hammond, Iglehart, Deale, Bond, of Calvert, Dalrymple,
Mitchell, Chapman, Nicolai, Slinglufif, Montague, Poteet,
Holmes, Biddison, Rose, Lowe, Corbin, Horsey, Percy. Stew-
art, of Dorchester, Johnson, Davis, of Cecil, Touchstone,
Richards. Mearns, Keech, Guy, Williams, Sudler, Legg, Hol-
loway, Smith, of Worcester, Albaugh, Dutrow, Wenner,
Bowlus, Maynard, Byers, Silver, Nelson, Vandiver, Brown,
Moore, Hubbard, Sanner, Wentz, Robb, Morse, Blake, La-
trobe, Pentland, Smith, of Baltimore city, Colton, Mulin,
Ghaisty, McElroy, Harig, Markland, Marshall, Conway, Sy-
ester, Coudy, Herbert, Rohrer, Seibert, Riggs, Offutt, Con-
ley, McCulloh, Kean, Devecmon, Trimble, Hall, Davis, of
Carroll, Jordan. Worthington, Harden, Clark, Jones, Fooks,
Hopkins—85.

The Speaker laid before the House the Report of the Super-
intendent of Labor and Agriculture ;

Which was rend and referred to the Committee on Agri-
culture.

Mr. Robb presented the memorial of the Board of Trade of
Baltimore city, relative to the Usury Laws ;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary.

Mr. Syester presented the petition of sundry citizens of
Washington county, for the continuance of the present
school system until July 15, 1868 :

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Edu-
cation.

Mr. Coad submitted the following order:

Ordered, That five thousand, copies of the Report of the
Superintendent of Labor and Agriculture be printed for the
use of this House, one thousand of which shall be in Ger-
man ;

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on Print-
ing.

Mr. Iglehart submitted the following order :

Ordered, That the Comptroller inform this House whether
any, and what, errors have occurred in the distribution of
the "Free School Fund" accruing under the Acts of 1813
and 1816, from the year 1852 to the year 1867, inclusive, in
reference to Baltimore city and Baltimore county.

Which was adopted.
