The bill entitled an Act to add a new Article to the Code
of Public General Laws, to be entitled " Public Education,"
providing a general system of Free Public Schools for the
State of Maryland, and to repeal all laws inconsistent there-
with, with pending amendment.

The question recurring upon the House amendment sub-
mitted by Mr. Iglehart:

Section 1, strike out all after the word " Act," in the 3d
line,
