The bill entitled an Act to alter and amend certain sec-
tions, and add additional sections to Article 12 of Public
Local Laws, relating to Havre-de-Grace, in Harford county.

The bill entitled an Act to declare the sanction of the Gen-
eral Assembly of Maryland to the bequest of Catherine Mor-
tem, late of Calvert county, deceased, to the vestry of St.
Paul's Parish, in said county.

The bill entitled an Act to enable the vestry of St. Thomas'
Parish, in Baltimore county, to hold money in trust for cer-
tain religious and charitable purposes connected with the
Protestant Episcopal Church in America, or with said parish.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 17, Article 53,
of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled Landlord and
Tenant, exempting certain articles from distress for rent,
and to re-enact the same.

The bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Johns Hopkins
Fire, Marine and Accident Insurance Company of the State
of Maryland.

Also,

The bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Frederick and
Emmittsburg Rail Road Company.

Endorsed, " Passed by yeas and nays, with proposed
amendment."

Amendment proposed:

Strike out section 14, and insert the following :

Section 14. And be it enacted, that the said President and
Directors of the Frederick and Emmittsburg Rail Road, be,
and they are hereby authorized and empowered, to connect
the said railroad by means of wye, switches, sidelings, &c.,
with, any other rail road or railroads, either at the terminus
or any immediate point of the line of the said Frederick and
Emmittsburg Rail Road.

The amendment was adopted,

And the bill as amended, passed by yeas and nays as fol-
lows :
