WEDNESDAY, March 11, 1868.

The House met, and was opened with the Lord's Prayer
by the Speaker.

Present at the call of the roll the following members:

Messrs. Stewart, (Speaker,) Coad, Beck, Hanimond, Deale,
Bond, of Calvert, Mitchell, Nicolai, Slingluff, Poteet,
Holmes, Rose, Lowe, Corbin, Horsey, Stewart, of Dorches-
ter, Davis, of Cecil, Toxichstone, Mearns, Keech, Guy,
Williams, Sudler, Legg, Smith, of Worcester, Albaugh,
Dutrow, Wenner, Bowlns, Byers, Silver, Nelson, Vandiver,
Brown, Moore, Sanner, Wentz, Morse, Blake, Latrobe,
Pentland, Smith, of Baltimore city, Bond of Baltimore city,
Mullin, Chaisty, McElroy, Harig, Markland, Conway, Coudy,
Herbert, Rohrer, Seibert, Riggs, Conley, Kean, Devecmon,
Hall, Jordan, Worthington, Jones, Hopkins—47.

Mr. Latrobe presented the petition of the Southern Relief
Association.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.

Mr. Devecmon presented a petition of Walter Wilburn, a
soldier of 1812, for a pension.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Herbert presented the petition of R. L. Roach and 40
other citizens of Washington county, against the repeal of
the funeral law.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Judiciary.

Mr. Seibert presented a petition of Jacob Kuhn and twenty
other citizens of District No. 4, of Washington county,
asking Commissioners of said county to adopt as public a
road, known by the name of Long Lane, of said District of
Washington county.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Roads and Highways.

Mr. Blake submitted the following order :

Ordered, That the House meet this afternoon at four
o'clock, and continue in session until six o'clock, for the
purpose of acting on Senate bills entitled to a third read-
ing.
