Mr. M itch ell, Chairman of a select committee, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 96 to 109, inclu-
sive, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, for
Charles county, under the head of Roads, and to re-enact the
following in lieu thereof.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Corbin, Chairman of a select committee, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 9, of Article 19, of
the Code of Public Local Laws, title Somerset county, sub-
title Almshouse, and enact the following in lieu thereof.

Which was read a first time.
Also,

A bill entitled an Act to add an additional section to Arti-
cle 19 of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled Somerset
county, so as to provide the manner and time for the appoint-
ment and the term of office of the Supervisors of Roads in
said county.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Slingluff, Chairman of a select committee, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to authorize and require the County
Commissioners of Baltimore county to convey a lot of ground
to the Board of School Commissioners of Baltimore county, to
be used for a public school house site.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Bond, of Baltimore city, Chairman of a select com-
mittee, reported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to provide for the copying, binding
and indexing certain chancery records in the office of the
Clerk of the Superior Court of Baltimore city, and for re-
copying, re-binding, and re-indexing certain land records,
therein.

Which was read a first time.

The bill entitled an Act to change the name of the
Franklin Rail Road Company to that of the Cumberland
Valley Rail Road Company, with all the rights and powers
of the Franklin Rail Road Company.
