Election District of Baltimore county, to reduce fare on
Baltimore and Catonsville Rail Road, to rates of the original
charter.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Corpora-
tions.

Mr. Herbert presented the application of Mrs. Jos. R. Sny-
der and C. J. Baker, Esq., Managers of the Union Protes-
tant Infirmary, asking an appropriation.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.

Mr. Dutrow presented the petition of Charles W. McAbee
and Wm. G. Baker, to legalize a deed.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Judiciary.

Mr. Clark presented the petition of citizens of Howard
county, praying an annual appropriation to "Phrenokosman
Hall," an institution of learning in Howard county.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Edu-
cation.

Mr. Coad presented the petition of Samuel Spalding and
57 other citizens of St. Mary's county, praying the passage
of a law changing the price of tobacco casks when filled with
tobacco and sold, from one to two dollars each.

Which, was read and referred to the Committee on Inspec-
tions.

Mr, Brown presented the petition of Philip W. Littig,
Thomas Littig, M.D., and 20 other citizens of Harford
county, asking an amendment to the existing dog law.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Agri-
culture.

Mr. Blake presented a petition from John Forrester and
14 others, asking that lumber in the city of Baltimore may
be inspected, and the inspectors be appointed by the Gov-
ernor.

Which was read and referred to the select committee on
that subject.

Mr. Mitchell presented the petition of Wm. N. Sanders,
and 16 other citizens of Charles county, praying for a change
in the Local Laws in said county, in regard to public roads.

Also, the petition of Edward Miles, Thomas R, Halley,
and other citizens of Charles county, praying for a change in
the Local Laws for said county, in relation to the public
roads of the county.
