BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

January 15, 1868.
Gentlemen of the Senate :

We respectfully invite your Honorable Body to convene
with this House in joint assembly, at twelve o'clock, meri-
dian, this day, in accordance with the Act of Congress of the
session of 1865-1866. chapter 245, entitled "an Act to regu-
late the times and manner of holding elections for Senators
in Congress."

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the Senate.

On motion of Mr. Hubbard,

Leave was granted, to the Committee on Oysters, &c., to
Introduce a bill to prevent the setting of stake nets and build-
ing hedges across the channel of Choptank River.

Mr. Smith, of Worcester, Chairman of the Joint Commit-
tee on Printing, submitted the following Report:

The undersigned, Joint Committee on Printing, beg leave
to make the following Report:

They respectfully recommend that the following documents
be printed for the use of the members of the Senate :

Gov. Swann's Message in English, 1,600 copies.

" " ' German, '900 "
Comptroller's Report in English, 1,500 "

" " German, '500 "

For the use of the members of the House of Delegates :
Gov. Swann's Message in English, 8,000 copies.

" " " German, 2,000 "
Comptroller's Report in English, y9,000 "

" " German, 2,000 "

Also, for the use of both Houses, 0,000 copies of Gov.
Kowie'w Inaugural Address.

The Committee further recommend that the Printer be in-
structed to have the above documents ready by the 25th
January, 1868, and that Mr. Rnine, of Baltimore city, be
employed as translator.

By order of Committee,

Which was read.

Mr. Portland, moved that the report be recommitted.

Decided in the negative.

The report was then adopted.

Mr. Colton, chairman select committee, submitted the fol-
lowing Report :
